Edward (Eddie) Wyborny, one of the eldest members of the American Wyborny family, passed away on January 18, 2004, less than 2 months after celebrating his 92nd birthday.
Edward Elmer Wyborny, 92, of rural Oxley, Arkansas died Sunday, January 18, 2004, in Clinton, Arkansas. He was born November 29, 1911 in Worth County, Iowa, and was the son of the late Edward Franklin and Lulu Witham Wyborny. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez, and by three brothers, Morris, Roy, and Harold, and by two grandchildren. He worked on farms in the early 30’s and later spent most of his working life as a mechanic, working on General Motors and Chrysler motor cars. He retired in 1974 as a diesel truck mechanic in San Diego, California.
He became a General Class amateur radio operator in 1960 and enjoyed that hobby during his retirement years.
Survivors include a brother Kenneth and his wife Edna of Mabanks, Texas, a brother Donald and his wife Lucille of Mountain Home, Arkansas, six children, Richard and his wife Gloria of Charles City, Iowa, Raymond and his wife Wendy of El Cajon, California, Elton and his wife Karen of Scotland, Arkansas, June and her husband Dennis Dodd of Clear Lake, Iowa, Kathy and her husband Don Meinholz of Juneau, Wisconsin, Carol Wyborny of Stoughton, Wisconsin, 17 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements for direct cremation were by Roller-McNutt of Clinton. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
